Since I began a daily walking practice, I've come across A LOT of unwanted furniture on the street. I love finding the beauty in "old" unwanted things so I decided to start a business refinishing furniture - primarily refinishing and reselling what I deemed as "street finds." Street finds are great quality furniture that just need a little love to bring it back to life. Memories are attached to furniture, therefore, my aim is to change those memories so new memories can be made.
I am an artist. I've spent most of my adolescent and adult life as an athlete playing and coaching girls' basketball. Since graduating with a degree in Architectural Design & Construction Technology, I've had the pleasure of working as a freelance CAD (computer aided design) architectural drafter. Therefore, I am able to use CAD software to provide visual 3D images of the potential design for each piece. Also, using power tools sometimes unconventionally while always incorporating some recycled materials, each piece created is unique and one of a kind.
I get inspired to create some very unique designs based on nature. Although I would love to take credit for how far I've come, Herb, my partner, is my biggest supporter and motivator to keep creating and inspiring others along the way. We also live with two cute cats (which you'll see a lot of), Kwame & Kitty who also give me the joy and motivation to keep going.
